Great day

A few reasons why today is a great day:
Merrill didn't wake up until 6!
I ate a big breakfast - it was yummy!
Merrill was content to watch TV for a while and Mark was able to sleep!
I was under budget on my weekly groceries thanks to Macey's!
My house has stayed relatively clean for 2 whole days!
Mark is out shopping for a birthday present for me!
We inherited a new down comforter!
I got to shower before 10!
I have all my homework done for my math class today, and I actually understood most of it!
I found out that I am only 10 classes shy of my associates degree!
Canned pumpkin was on sale so I am going to make pumpkin bread for breakfast tomorrow!
I love fall weather - it smells so good, there are leaves on the ground, the sun is shining...
It is just a great day so I had to share!

Deb, you will always be my wonderful example of upbeat and optimistic! I just love you! Those are all fantastic things to be happy about, except Merrill sleeping until 6! Holy cow. When my kids get up a 6 I feel that is an excuse to be a bit grumpy. ;)

Thanks Deb for sharing! I was feeling kinda down and out today and reading about your good day and great optimism made me look for the good things in my day too. You're always an example to me of what I should be more like. Thanks babe! I can't believe Merrill gets up that early!!! McKayla is such a dead head in the mornings I have to wake her up around 8 or 9 cause she'll sleep til 10 if I let her!!!!

You are all so great! Thank you! And thank you to everyone that wished me a happy birthday! It has been great!
Here is the recipe - it turned out great and I added cream cheese - yummy!

Pumpkin Bread
ingredients
3 cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
4 eggs
3-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2/3 cup water
1 15-ounce can pumpkin
directions
1. Grease the bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of two 9x5x3-inch, three 8x4x2-inch, or four 7-1/2x3 1/2-x2-inch loaf pans; set aside. In a very large mixing bowl beat sugar and oil with an electric mixer on medium speed. Add eggs and beat well; set aside.

2. In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add flour mixture and water alternately to sugar mixture, beating on low speed after each addition just until combined. Beat in pumpkin. Spoon batter into prepared pans.

3. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 55 to 65 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near centers comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool completely on wire racks. Wrap and store overnight before slicing. Makes 2 loaves (32 servings).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COUSIN!! I hope you have a wonderful day! I am so glad that you are apart of the family - Mark did good;)

Sorry I never got back to you about the movie on Saturday. I have my 3 hour Bio lab on Saturday mornings until noon. So, time wise it could work, but I feel bad leaving Brian with the kids twice in one day! But I hope you have a fantastic time!

Also, I think I am going to make that bread right now!
